My Story​

G. L. Blackie brings a rich and varied life experience to his writing. A former member of the British Armed Forces, Glenn has also worn many hats—as a business owner, hypnotherapist & psychotherapist, Print Manager, Exam Officer and website administrator. Born in Canada and raised in Scotland, he now lives just a hop, skip, and a jump from the historic Hadrian’s Wall Path.
When he’s not writing, Glenn can often be found elbow-deep in the ongoing renovation of his Victorian cottage with his wife. His diverse background and keen observation of people and places inform his storytelling, infusing it with authenticity, grit, and a touch of wry humour.
