I began writing in historical fantasy genre under the pseudonym Irwin Glenn. The title of the first novel started off as The Myth. Within months I had a full length handwritten manuscript.

During the lockdown of 2020 when the world was trying to reduce the impact of COVID I had been discussing my manuscript with a friend who was a published author. She offered to read my manuscript
This was the year I returned to the kind of storytelling where ideas just seem to unfold magically in my head. I began drafting a story I’d called The Tower, before realising I actually needed to write what happened before it first!
So Planet 27 came first — and later on, I even wrote a prequel to that too. But you have to start somewhere, right? Once Planet 27 was finished, I went back to The Tower, which eventually grew and changed to become Tower 17.
